Vivienne is two! With two years under our belts with our sweet girl, I narrowed down our favorite items that make life easier, without all the fuss, clutter and unnecessary stress. Celebrating Vivi this week has been a much needed bright spot this month. With so much heartbreak in our community of Southern California, I am so grateful to have my kiddos close and this outlet to keep my mind busy, as we move forward.
So, on a brighter and lighter note, and with Vivi in the “wonderful two’s” stage, I’ve been wanting to share in detail the baby and toddler items that make our day-to-day easier. (Here are the items I shared for year one.)
It’s incredible what a beautifully designed grow-with-you crib, a leak proof kids cup or even a last minute purchase of travel stroller can do for a busy mom looking for ways to, one, not break the bank; two, have good quality and safe products; and three, avoid clutter or having more than we need.
Here are our baby favorites.
The only travel crib you need. We still use it when we are away from home (at least until Vivienne grows out of it). It’s the easiest to take on a plane, to grandmas, to a hotel and all over. We’ve had it for over 7 years and its the best.

This slide has been a hit! Indoors and outdoors, Vivi (and Arthur) cannot get enough of it. With a small living room, it’s wonderful that this easily folds up to store and I love how it seamlessly blends into the room.
I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a toddler chair and I wanted it to arrive quickly, so when I came across this light green chair on Amazon, I had to have it. It is super soft, comfortable, the perfect shade of sage green, and I won’t be sad if it gets stained. Perfect to move all around the house and into any room.
We searched high and low for a crib that was beautifully made, safe, and that would last us several years. I fell in love with Nestig’s pink, stylish and hand crafted natural pine crib. What’s great too, is that it converts from a mini crib, which was perfect for Vivi the first few weeks or when I wanted to wheel her into my room, to a toddler bed. I love the curved corners and the simplicity of it. A must!
This was a last minute purchase. I didn’t want another stroller (we have an everyday larger stroller and a running stroller), but with travel last Summer, it was necessary to have a stroller that was foldable, ultra lightweight, easy to fly with, and could lay flat. This one is so so good and just $200. A very smart purchase!
The backpack that makes Vivienne so happy. Her brother has one and she had been wearing his all around. So, Vivi needed her own. It’s sized perfectly for her, with room to grow. As we run around town during the week going to classes and doing errands, its great to have on hand because I’ll fill it with her favorite books, small toys and dolls, and throw it in the car with us. It comes in so handy throughout the day. Having her name monogrammed on it is even sweeter!
This eco-conscious and safe playmat is cushioned and cute. I love the color combos and designs this brand offers, giving a more elegant and elevated look to the typical kid and family playmats. It blends in perfectly … a keeper!
This book stood out to me because of how wonderfully understated it is with beautiful watercolor illustrations. Tabitha Paige creates the most gorgeous little children’s books. We adore this one and it’s so helpful as Vivi learns her words. Looking forward to growing our collection, and what a perfect gift idea for a little one too!
Spill resistant. BPA-plastic free or stainless steel. Adorable color combos. EASY to clean. I cannot recommend this toddler tumbler enough. I’ve tried many, many tumblers and sippy cups over the past year and this one is the winner, for all the reasons above. Specifically, it has just a few pieces, which helps when cleaning and I always felt that the more pieces and parts a toddler cup has, the more it was likely to lead. This cup, does not do that. This is THE tumbler for your child. I need more!
