I meant to share this post earlier in the month, but better late than never. I’d like to say that very few makeup days this past year helped with refreshing my skin, but really a great skincare product can do wonders if used properly and consistently. A few requests came in to share my go-to’s, so here is what I loved in 2020!
I’m a big believer in adding new products into my skincare routine. I take delight in my daily face time ritual … a moment to myself to enjoy and indulge. Listed below are some old favorites, some new-to-me products that I have come to love, and some go-to standbys.
My skin is normal to dry and I have sun and age spots that are hard to erase. My skin is at its best when it is hydrated and exfoliated. It looks clear and brighter. I’ll speak for most people and say, I think we all want that glow. Almost all of my products are clean and non-toxic, and I’m always on the hunt for new brands and products. Hope you find something you love or that you want to test out.
Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen & Primer, SPF 30
I like to mix this with my daily face lotion, knowing I’m getting the extra sun protection I need. However, use too much and you’ll be left with some white residue. I’m still searching for that perfect clean SPF face moisturizer, but this is an excellent option.
Goop Revitalizing Day Moisturizer
A simple product, but packed with the nutrients and hydration my skin needs all day long. Great if you are looking for all day moisturizer and brightening of skin. (I add in Suntegrity SPF!)
REN Clean Skincare Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toner
I started using toners last year, and recently discovered this REN product. What I love about it is that is focuses on exfoliating and brightening and reducing pore size. It is gentle enough to use morning and night too. I think of it as a clean slate to my skin, before I apply all of my other beauty products and makeup.
Tata Harper Nourishing Oil Cleanser
Oil cleansers usually have you apply on dry skin first then rinse. I actually enjoy this process. This cleanser specifically targets buildup on the skin (especially makeup, so easy to wipe off mascara), while leaving behind tons of vitamins and minerals to help even out skin tone. Great for dry skin!
Biossance Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum
Fights signs of aging … need I say more? This serum acts like a retinol and helps reduce sun spots, fine lines, you name it. I like to use it at night after my face oil and before my night cream. Also, just saw that Biossance released a new Vitamin C Squalane Dark Spot Serum … right up my alley.
Vinters Daughter Active Botanical Serum
A pot of gold. Nourishing, balancing and restorative. It brings my skin back to life, gives it the extra hydration it needs and really brightens and smooths out my skin. I purchased my first bottle several years ago and fell in love. If you had to use just one product (besides sunscreen, of course) THIS should be it. Worth every penny.
I use this daily. It was a gift and came at the perfect time as I was in need of a new night cream. With nighttime products, I usually want something hydrating and anti aging. This offers both, so you can’t go wrong. I also love how a little goes a long way. A huge plus in my book!
Indie Lee products were some of the first clean beauty products I tried. Such simple yet super effective ingredients. Her squalane oil is a bestseller because it works. This oil is not greasy, but super hydrating and absorbent and my skin just looks clear.
Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin Brightening Serum
I always use a vitamin C product during the day. I enjoyed this one and its perfect for everyday use before moisturizer to help keep your skin looking bright and tight and lighten dark spots. I love when a product “works” all day long and helps skin look healthy.
To help with the appearance of skin discoloration. A perfect brightening tool that I use a few nights a week. Also, I love that I can purchase it at Target and Whole Foods.
Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask
One of the highlights of my skincare routine is using this mask. My favorite way to keep it fresh is to store it in the fridge. The chilled gel feels so good on the skin. I use this about once a week. My skin feels and looks its best the next day. Super hydrating, great to help lock in other nighttime products and really smooths and tones the skin. A must in your beauty routine!
A Little Extra Can’t Hurt, Right?
Ice Roller Love to gift this! Use it to depuff your face or eyes, cool down a fevered forehead or if you have an annoying bug bite.
Goldfaden MD Doctor’s Scrub Exfoliator I’ve been searching for a clean, gentle and scrub worthy product. This is it! Its prefect for when your skin is looking dull or a little rough towards the end of the week. Highly recommend!
3D Microcurrrent Facial Roller Who knows if these face rollers really make any improvements? What I do know is that its basically a face massage and if it helps with lifting and contouring, then sign me up!
What are your go-to daily clean beauty products? Anything you can’t live without that I should try?

Agreed about Vintner’s Daughter. The BEST! I just started using their essence also and love it as well.
