And just like that, we are back to school. We had a longer than normal Summer break with lots of time together, but we are ALL so happy to be on the back-to-school routine!
As Arthur adjusts to first grade, we as a family are also adjusting to a brand new school. Lots of new things to become familiar with, like the dreaded carline and so many family activities to look forward to. With my full focus on Vivienne and family life right now, I’m thrilled to think about how I’ll be involved more with school life. (Love thinking about my Mom and how she was the ultimate school mom for all of her five kids.)
This time around the start of the new school year feels a little bit different with Vivienne in tow. She is almost eight months and to see her little face light up when Arthur gets into the car after school is the best!
I love the back-to-school fun of shopping for supplies and new gear. I picked up this new State backpack for Arthur (our third one … their pieces are so durable) and these new sneakers. He was in dire need of a new lunch box and so far we are loving this bento box. Also, still using these rubber name bands for water bottles from Etsy.
I know the frenzy of back-to-school will settle down and we’ll be in the thick of Fall before we know it, but I’m loving this season of life right now for our family. A lot of change has happened this year, so these precious moments, like the first day of school are that much more special to us.
