The holidays! The joy and cheer it brings is a welcomed and happy distraction from the trying year we’ve had. So, bring on the mistletoe, garland, champagne and all the gifts! While I am quite excited to shop and ring in the season, I want to make an effort to shop and give gifts with purpose, like buying from companies that source ethically and produce sustainable products or by purchasing a gift that gives back to help those in need.

A bit long winded here, but I want to share some tips and highlights from our pandemic getaway experiences. Traveling is a touchy subject and the COVID situation is constantly changing, so I understand the concerns. By no means do I take what is going on lightly. How to help? Feeling stuck! That is how I am feeling as the world I know is suffering during this pandemic. The holiday frenzy is upon us, and Christmas shopping is in full swing. Is it just me, or as we get older does this time of year just fly by? It is as if I never get to fully enjoy the holiday season. Maybe it’s because I do not get a three week Christmas break anymore? Either way, I am looking forward to some down time with family and taking in this holiday season with so much to be thankful for.
For Arthur’s first Christmas, we will be in the Midwest, visiting my husband’s family. We are really looking forward to this and cannot wait for Arthur to meet more of his Midwest family (and to see snow!).Continue Reading…
LIVING: In the Fall Mood

Welcome …
For my first post, I thought I would dedicate it to my son, Gregory Arthur Eugene. He has given me the inspiration, motivation and sense of excitement about life that I never knew existed. So, I am delighted to finally introduce my little space for creativity, admiration of things I love, inspiration found in home decor, fashion, travel, and elements of all things baby, motherhood and family, basically, my life … Welcome to Valerie Z.
