Over the past several years there has been an increase of clean beauty brands entering the market and a huge push for cleaner and safer ingredients, awareness of their benefits and transparency from beauty companies. I know I’m not the only one making a shift to my beauty routine, so it’s amazing to see a variety of clean beauty products at different price ranges, from newer and smaller companies to larger and more well-known brands.
I became familiar with Beautycounter about five years ago. Over the years, I’ve purchased their body moisturizer, face wash, body scrub, body oil and makeup products. When I visited their New York store in April, I picked up a new body wash for me and one for the ‘baby‘, one of their popular face oils and a recovery sleeping cream. My husband also purchased products from their men’s line, Countermen. For me, I love seeing and trying a product in person … really helps me make a more informed decision.
Beautycounter’s Founder, Greg Renfew, has created something very special. She is extremely passionate about eliminating harmful ingredients (natural and man-made) not just in her own products, but is taking her vision for safer beauty to Capitol Hill. She created the Never List, which names ingredients Beautycounter will never use in their products. I also appreciate the fact that she started out with a few staple products and over the years slowly added other beauty must-haves, always making sure her products stood up to her strict safe ingredients guidelines. Ok, so these are the products I’ve been enjoying the past few months. Check them out!
