I shared my latest outfit crush last week. This silky skirt and cashmere top. When I think of seasonal dressing, I always think, J.Crew. I’m a lover of their classics, enjoy an updated take on basics, and I love the versatility of their pieces. When in doubt, go with what you love and trust. Sharing Fall styles that are a must.
Cashmere
As an owner of a handful of J.Crew cashmere, its really good. The quality, sustainable sourcing, and styles are top notch. This sleeveless top is soft, light enough to wear on a warm day, and cropped, but can still be tucked in. I wear these fitted crewneck sweaters year round. Over my shoulders, with jeans for morning drop off, or tucked in skirts for something dressy and comfy.
Skirts
The lace drew me in and the elastic waist of this silky skirt had me sold (ha!). I never knew I needed lace. Quite feminine, but edgy. I also grabbed this pleated scarf print skirt. It reminded me of “heading into the office”. I think it’s great for an event or a work meeting, perfect for when you want that tailored and suited look. J.Crew knows how to do a pleat and a skirt.
Vests
Vests are great top alternatives, and I’m loving them right now. This slim fitted tuxedo style vest is a dream. For something dressier, skip the gown and wear it with wide leg pants. A sweater vest is a must. Wear it over a tee or solo, this cashmere vest in navy is on my wish list.
Pants – Denim & Corduroy
J.Crew’s selection of jeans has been on point lately. I’m very tempted to make these high waisted wide leg trouser jeans work for my short frame. We shall see. For now, these slim straight jeans are my go-to’s. They are extra stretchy, so I’d recommend sizing down. I have not owned a pair of corduroy pants in decades, but corduroy screams FALL. I’m gravitating towards a darker color, like these navy corduroy wide leg pants.
Little Black Dress
When plans pop up and you need something to dazzle in, look no further than THE dress. A little black dress is a closet staple. You’ll be a stand out in this one!
Leopard Print, Suede & Brown
If wearing head to toe leopard isn’t your thing, start small, like with these pointed heels. Suede everything, right? This purse is the IT bag of the season. Lastly, start adding in shades of brown. This belt is the best place to start.
