I tend to worry unnecessarily, dwell on the past more than I should, and set ‘in the moment’ unrealistic expectations that just lead to self doubt. So, with all of that out in the open, I thought I’d share some daily guidelines and positive reminders to abide by and be held accountable to this year.
Self-love. Give myself a pat on the back more often. Never say #momfail. Celebrate my body, flaws and all. Live and act with intent.
Self-care. Whether it’s eating cleaner, detoxing my beauty routine, napping, saying no, or indulging in monthly massages, it’s ok to do what feels right.
Enjoy now. Enforce the no phone zone as needed. Reflect on all that is good in my life. Celebrate more. Savor every minute with my little boy.
Time management. Plan in advance, in order to avoid last minute rushing, stress and unnecessary spending. With work, as a mom, as a wife, and now a blogger, plan my time wisely and in the most meaningfully way.
Get up and move. Take weekly strolls with my boys. Get up from my desk at least twice a day. Go on adventures with Arthur and explore new neighborhoods, a new park or a new restaurant.
Support my community. Explore locally. Shop small businesses. Attend more community events. Enjoy my surroundings.
Simplify. Don’t shop, invest. Quality over quantity. Declutter my mind, home (and car). Release energy sucking stress in relationships, worries, and things I cannot change.
And the usuals; eat healthier, exercise, and read more books.
What’s on your list for 2018?
