The official start of the new year exudes feelings of excitement, motivation, uneasinesses and curiosity. In reality, things are still the same, but as every year passes I use these renewed feelings to kick start … my fresh start.
No goals, no resolutions, just adjusting to what feels best for me and my family to live a more healthy, meaningful and happier life. The in between to make the adjustments is what matters most.
Reminders I’ll be repeating to myself each day.
Prioritize what’s important.
Get uncomfortable.
Dream big.
More engagement, less scrolling.
Choose adventure.
Simple is better.
Declutter.
Gather more.
Celebrate for no reason.
Alone time.
Create a collected home.
Worry less.
I come first.
The biggest and most exciting adjustment will be adding baby girl so very soon to our family. At times, I still cannot believe it and I have to step back and take a few deep breaths … yes, we are starting ALL. OVER. AGAIN. But I’ve dreamt of this moment for so long.
With several challenges and then having done two IVF transfers, I was not quite ready to shout out the good news. So, my husband and I went through each week with a sigh of relief. Finally feeling comfortable to share the BEST news after 30 weeks!
So with that, getting ready for baby girl started just a few weeks ago (eek!). The basic essentials are starting to arrive and we did a room demo and converted Greg’s small home office into her nursery. We lost a hall closet/storage, so we’ve been living in between boxes around the house for the past month. On the bright side, it gave us a great reason to purge!
I am soaking in these final weeks as a family of three, letting January start slow, asking for help when I need it, making sure I rest (a lot), and taking it one day at a time. We cannot wait to meet our sweet girl!
As for this space, my focus with creative content and sharing is always slowly but surely growing and becoming more of a priority. I love posting things I’ve purchased, discovered, and sharing ideas that may help you beautify your home, add a classic piece to your closet and give you an idea when setting your next dinner table. Thank you for following along, your likes, purchases and comments. It truly means the world as I continue to navigate this passion of mine.
Entering 2023 with gratitude, hope and new life!
Here’s to you … what adjustments do you plan to make this year?
