Going back to the roundup post … this one is all about what to read, listen to, wear and carry. I wrote something similar here and here. Whether its a book I’ve finished, a helpful podcast or a piece of clothing I want to invest in, I’ll be highlighting a roundup of items that I’m loving and find value in, with the hopes that you find a connection too.
Books:
I’ve been seeing photos of the beautiful interiors book Livable Luxe by Bridgette Romanek floating around IG. The chic and warm aesthetic that she creates is stunning. Not to mention her book parties looked fabulous too. I am always hunting around for great coffee table books.
I just read, for the first time, Atomic Habits. It has been on my must-read list for some time and I breezed right through it. I truly learned so many brilliant (and also “why didn’t I think of that before” and “ah ha” moments) gems on how to enhance my routines and create daily habits for life’s major goals or to start incorporating lifestyle changes. This is a great one to read everyone few years.
Listen:
I am always looking for podcasts recommendations. I learned about Dr. Chatterjee and his podcast Feel Better Live More from lifestyle creator Ashley Kane, who I love to follow. I found so many topics that resonate with me in this particular moment of life. The host, a physician, brings on seasoned experts and authors that touch upon how our brains work and why, aging, the importance of sleep, wellness both physical and mental, and the overall benefits of healthy lifestyle.
It has really opened my eyes to how much power we actually do have when it comes to getting older and our ever evolving bodies. I have no interest on the emphasis of fad diets and fitness journeys, because health is so personal and wellness can mean different things to everyone. This podcast offers so much more than that, you’ll walk away more knowledgable and feel empowered. Give it a listen!
Wear:
I’ve been saving lots of knit dresses to my folders and carts. I’ve always loved the look of sweater dress for the cooler months because its dressed up comfort, just add a thin belt, a tailored blazer or knee high boots. Here are the three styles I’m eyeing. I love the feminine flare of this one, and this off the shoulder look is perfect for a date night, and I think this one is so elegant and would be beautiful for holiday photos. Hoping to narrow down my pick soon.
Carry:
If I could have a closet full of totes I’d be a happy girl. The durability, roominess and classic look will last year after year. I always grab this tote and throw in everything I need for the day when I’m running errands or out with the family, so that all my “stuff” is in one place in my car that I can easily sort through.
I love this one with the pop pink, and I’ve heard so many good things about this French tote, and you cannot go wrong with this classic tote, which I have and love. A perfect Christmas gift, especially with a monnogram. Handy and cute to tote around!
That’s all for now.
