This rainy California weather has me thinking of the classic trench coat. No matter your style, this classic coat is a particular piece of outerwear everyone needs in their closet. This coat has evolved into a chic staple, the perfect neutral add on and the ideal transition coat. Last year, I donated my go-to trench that had been worn, loved and used to the point where stains were becoming permanent and the belt buckled finally broke. So, I am on the hunt for a new investment worthy one. Here is why I love it.
The trench is perfect to pull out when it’s not too hot and not too cold, a great layer to pack for travel, and it will elevate any outfit. Whether you are wearing jeans and sneaks, a button-up and skirt, or your suited work outfit (I used to love to wear mine with work clothes), the trench always gives off a tailored and put-together look.
Ultimately, the trench coat will never go out of style. Although many colors are offered, I prefer the neutral camel/beige color and a classic fit, but I do love this relaxed look and the shorter length of this coat. So, as I keep telling myself, finding a trench coat that fits well and that is well made, is totally worth the investment.
As I save for this ultimate classic trench, in the meantime I love the price tags of this one and this one. Visit the shop to see what I linked or click images below.
Happy trench coat hunting!
